Each year we celebrate talented writers in the UK whose opportunities have been limited due to mental health issues, disability, identity or other social circumstances. In October 2017, the top twelve finalists for the 2017 Creative Future Literary Awards read their work alongside international best-selling author Kit De Waal, and poet & playwright, Sabrina Mahfouz at the iconic Library of Birmingham, as part of the Birmingham Literature Festival.
