Artist interview with yvonne j foster

Did you see us on the telly? We we’re thrilled to have been featured on BBC South East Today, celebrating the fantastic artwork in the 2016 Tight Modern tour. Creative Future’s Director Dominique De-Light was interviewed by the wonderful Robin Gibson, along with two of this year’s selected artists Yvonne J Foster and Mik Strevens.

In case you missed it you can view the interview below!

Not heard of Tight Modern yet? It’s the world’s smallest pop-up gallery; an 8ft x 5ft miniature replica of the iconic Tate Modern, showcasing work from the UK’s best artists on the margins. We bring new art to new audiences and take new artists to established art galleries.

This year the Tight Modern features six digital frames alongside 54 original art works, enabling us to showcase more artists. We’ve also increased the number of prizes on offer. As well as the Public Vote – where the audience can enter a prize draw of £100 by voting for their favourite artists – the winners receive cash prizes. There are also the Curators’ Choice Awards – six prizes that include professional development opportunities such as mentoring and art material vouchers from CASS Art. All winners receive a year’s subscription to a-n The Artists Information Company. The prize fund totals £1,100 in cash. The prize winners will be announced in April 2017.
