Writing In and Outside Body (Manchester)

About the course

This series of workshops is suitable for beginning, emerging or established writers looking to write about what we contain within and what we find without our bodies.

Here, we will look at the poetics of our names, as well as the spaces we occupy. Exercises will span reading and writing of contemporary poetry, but also dream journals, photography, bookmaking and visual art, using Manchester Library’s special book collection. This course seeks a multidiscplinary approach to writing about the tactile in new and intimate ways.
