Sussex Recovery College Art Workshop – Crawley

Engaging in creative activity can lighten your mood, help express blocked feelings, and enable you to access a state of ‘creative flow’ which calms the mind and gives you time out from difficult thoughts and feelings. These courses include a series of fun exercises experimenting with different art techniques (drawing, collage, etc.). Learn to look at things in a creative way different methods for expressing oneself. Anyone experiencing mental health challenges can register to attend a Recovery College. All are welcome, whatever level of experience or ability, who would like to use creativity to improve their mood.IMG_9524

Tutor: Nickova Behling is a professional visual artist and founder of Artahead, providing opportunities for people to engage in visual art process including adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities (www.artahead.org).

Peer Trainer: Maria Kuipers regularly exhibits her paintings and has won prizes from the Georgia Museum of Art and for her West Pier Art project. She is an experienced facilitator and speaker. For more info see www.axisweb.org/p/mariakuipers.
