Peer Support Writing Group – Brighton

Are you an emerging/intermediate writer looking for a mutually supportive group?  This workshop will support a group of poets and/or fiction writers to share their work and get positive, constructive feedback from like-minded peers and an experienced writer/facilitator.

Over three sessions, the facilitator will create a welcoming and safe, supportive environment for sharing, feedback and discussion.  Following this, the goal is for the group to continue to meet on its own.

This group is limited to 10 places and is by application only.  Please submit:

  • Writing sample – 500 words prose or excerpt / 2-3 poems
  • Short description of your writing experience and why you want to do the course (2-3 paragraphs)

The deadline for applications is 30 October 2017.

Please send your application to [email protected] or by post to Creative Future, Community Base, 113 Queens Road, Brighton BN1 3XG.

Fee: £40/£20 concessions

Dates, time and venue (Brighton-based) will be mutually decided by the group.

Facilitator: Claudia Gould has taught Literature and Creative Writing for over 20 years. She’s a published novelist (Benjamin the True, Kahn & Averill) and short story writer (Jesus in America and Other Short Stories, Utah State University Press).
