Bio

I am a Brighton-based self-taught artist/photographer/craftsperson. Over the past few years I have produced and sold handmade cards and jewellery through many local outlets. My artwork and photographs have been exhibited at both local and regional museums and art galleries. For the past few years I have been a volunteer steward at the Grange Museum and Art Gallery in Rottingdean near Brighton, where my photo cards have been sold in the gallery shop. In 2015 I was awarded 3rd prize in Creative Future’s Tight Modern competition and 1st prize in an art competition run through Viva Brighton magazine. One of my photos was also selected as a runner-up for Creative Future's 2016 Tight Modern exhibition. I currently have online galleries with both Creative Future and Outside in at Pallant House, Chichester, as well as a Facebook page for my business Sajah Creations. My favourite subjects are landscapes/nature, the surreal and slightly disturbing and sometimes a combination of both! I am an active member of a local art group, and enjoy the companionship, support and inspiration this brings. I particularly enjoy experimenting with mixed media in my artwork and photo-editing software in my photography and the use of strong/atmospheric colour in my work across the board.
