2019 Home

HOME is an anthology of winning entries from the 2019 CREATIVE FUTURE WRITERS’ AWARD, the only national competition exclusively for underrepresented writers—those whose voices are not heard in the mainstream due to health, mental health, ethnicity, disability, identity or social circumstance.

Here, you’ll find inspiring short stories and powerful poems reflecting on the theme of ‘home’—from talented new voices, as well as acclaimed authors Kerry Hudson (Lowborn), Mahsuda Snaith (How To Find Home), and Anthony Anaxagorou (After the Formalities). Also featured is award-winning poet Pat Winslow, and our 2019 Writer In Residence, Emma McGordon.
