About the course

How can we write as protest? Can we separate our activism from our writing? How can we achieve change through our creative writing? How can we protect ourselves and our lived experience whilst campaigning through our writing?

Join award winning writer, poet and disability activist Bethany Handley for four online writing workshops where you’ll explore creative non-fiction as activism.

You’ll explore what creative non-fiction is, how to start writing creative non-fiction, and how to turn your experiences into activism. Bethany will share examples of activist creative writing, exercises and tips for protecting yourself when writing about lived experience.
