• We always welcome requests on how we can support you with your own access needs.
  • All our face-to-face activities will be held in accessible venues.
  • All our major events (e.g. CFWA Showcase) are BSL interpreted and we will endeavour to meet additional access needs when requested.
  • Subject to resources, we offer reasonable travel costs to/from our workshops.
  • Subject to resources, we offer travel & accommodation for major projects/events to selected participants (e.g. the CF Writers’ Award showcase)
  • All our video content is subtitled.
  • We will provide transcripts to any audio content if requested.
  • Carers and personal assistants are welcomed as required at all our activities (there is no cost for their place).
  • We offer adapted formats for handouts and submission processes as required.
  • We are committed to showcasing the work and amplifying the voices of underrepresented writers. The Creative Future Writers’ Award is our annual development programme to discover, develop, and publish new voices from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • We’re committed to increasing opportunities (including paid) for all underrepresented writers, including working-class writers, black writers, writers from ethnic minority backgrounds, writers with mental health challenges, LGBTQIA writers+, D/deaf and disabled writers.
  • We support and share and are open to partnering with programmes that champion underrepresented voices.

We understand that access needs are varied and individual and this policy may not cover all areas. We want to support you the best we can and have an open dialogue on access needs.
