Creative Future hosted a free event ‘Meet the Artist: Maria Amidu.’ Our ‘Meet the Artist/Writer’ series showcases writers and artists from under-represented backgrounds and how they got their work ‘out there’.
Maria is a graduate of the Royal College of Art, and exhibited nationally and internationally before pursuing a social practice. She has developed projects with a number of museums, galleries and organisations including:

Her work is in a number of collections, including the Pilkington Collection at the V&A Museum, London; the Arnolfini Collection Trust, Bristol; and the National Drawing Collection, Limerick. She has won a wide range of fellowships, grants and awards.
