About the workshops

Want to write stories but not sure how to start and keep going? Or maybe you have got stuck with your writing? Come and join a small, friendly, and supportive group where we will explore free writing and exercises as a way into creating compelling characters and stories that will resonate with your readers. About the workshop facilitator

Michelle Perkins writes fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry. Trained originally as a nurse, she later studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths University and it was there that she first began to explore creative writing. In 2020 she was awarded the Laura Kinsella Fiction Fellowship, has had short stories published in competition anthologies such as Carers’ UK and Creative Future’s ‘Home’ in 2019. Earlier this year she was commended in the Goldsmiths Life Writing Competition. An avid journaler and keeper of notebooks, she is currently researching a cross-genre project.
